He came to Princeton from Hamilton, Ohio, where he was salutatorian of his high school class and a three-sport athlete. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology, he received a master’s from the University of Cincinnati and a doctor of osteopathy degree from Kirksville (Mo.) College of Osteopathic Medicine. At the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, he was recognized for exceptional teaching by the Class of 1981.
In 1978, Bill opened a practice in neurology in Dayton, and later was a psychiatry resident at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in Kansas. He practiced at Menninger until 1992, when he opened a psychiatry practice. In 1985, Bill received the Kaneo Memorial Award from the American College of Neuropsychiatrists for distinguished contributions to osteopathic neurology and psychiatry.
The class joins in the sorrow of Bill’s wife of 25 years, Catherine O’Keefe; his son, Howard; his daughter, Stephanie; and his sister, Sylvia.
