From time to time, the fine work of Gregg Lange ’70 — whom you may know best as the P-rade announcer — appears in these pages. Few can match his knowledge of Princeton history and traditions; fewer still can rival his unique spin on what to make of those traditions today.
Most often, Lange’s work is found at PAW Online. Through Jan. 23, you will find on PAW’s home page his latest column, with a Princeton trivia quiz that will challenge even the best informed alumni. The quiz was prepared by Liz Greenberg ’02, who wrote her senior thesis on Princeton traditions; Lange added helpful hints. Try it yourself, at paw.princeton.edu. But be warned: When alumni leaders tried it during Harvard weekend, the top score was a mere 63 percent correct — barely a passing grade.
