Heading for the White House

Barack Obama and his wife Michelle ’85 visited the White House Nov. 10, six days after Obama’s presidential victory. Michelle Obama will become the first Princeton alumna to serve as first lady. A sociology major who was active in the Third World Center (now the Fields Center), she went to Harvard Law School and later worked for the University of Chicago, becoming a vice president of the University of Chicago Medical Center.
