The Daily Princetonian reported Jan. 12 that “[Professor Michael] Oppenheimer, director of the Wilson School’s Program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy, stressed that the preponderance of evidence and majority of expert opinion points to a strong anthropogenic influence on rising global temperatures, noting that he advises [Professor William] Happer to read the IPCC’s report and publish a scientific report detailing his objections to its findings.”

Professor Oppenheimer and others need to be reminded that science does not work by majority opinion – unlike politics. It is based solely on evidence obtained by careful analysis of observations. Such an analysis, based on peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals, contradicts the conclusions of the IPCC and supports those of Professor Happer. It is readily available, fully understandable to the nonscientist (no mathematical equations), and described in the NIPCC report  “Nature – Not Human Activity – Rules the Climate” http://www.sepp.org/publications/NIPCC_final.pdf. I would strongly recommend it to Professor Oppenheimer.
