Living Beyond War: A Citizen’s Guide

By Winslow Myers ’62
Posted on June 9, 2009

(Orbis Books) Myers dares to dream of a world without war. In the midst of the Iraq and Afghanistan War this may seem hopelessly unrealistic but Myers argues what is truly unrealistic is the idea that war is a solution to the conflicts of the world. This book provides a guide for each citizen to understand the practical process of moving from a world with war to one without. Living Beyond War is intended to supplement the work of the grassroots Beyond War, an organization working on introducing new ways of thinking and acting in the world. Winslow Myers is an artist and teacher who has worked for many years with Beyond War.
