In a press release, the University took its customary stance, accepting the praise but noting the limitations of “formulaic rankings.”
Princeton Review Princeton ranked No. 2 for “best college library” and No. 9 for “students who study the most” this year. Also receiving high marks: financial aid, campus scenery, administrative efficiency, and politically active students.
Forbes.com Forbes placed Princeton second behind the United States Military Academy in its ratings, which are based on alumni employment, student satisfaction, graduation rate, student debt load, and student and faculty awards.
Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Princeton is third on the list of the best values among private colleges, behind Caltech and Yale. The magazine said graduates leave Princeton with an average debt of $5,592, the lowest of ranked colleges.
Hispanic Magazine Harvard, Princeton, and Yale — in that order — were the top three schools for Hispanics in a list that weighed academic standards and campus diversity. Among Princeton’s highlights: recruiting low-income students.
Washington Monthly In its measure of colleges’ “contribution to the public good,” Washington Monthly rated Princeton No. 28, fourth in the Ivies. Princeton topped the ranking of “faculty receiving significant awards.”
