Chris was born and raised in Chicago, where he graduated from Northwestern Military Academy before being accepted at Princeton. At Princeton he majored in history, participated in the Navy ROTC program, and was commander of the drill team. He was active in the pre-law society, Orange Key, Whig-Clio, and the campus fund drive. Chris’ senior-year roommates were Bill McMillan and Jim Tinsman.

Following graduation and a tour of duty as a first lieutenant in the Marine Corps, Chris entered Northwestern Law School from which he graduated in 1961. His principal activity was performing research for the American Judicature Society.

His beloved wife, Maryanthe, predeceased him by four years. He is survived by his sister, Diana Rose. The class mourns the loss of this loyal Princetonian.
