Slide show: 90 years of the Princeton Band

Since 1919, the Princeton University Band has provided a soundtrack for Tiger football games and other campus events like Reunions. In this slide show, we follow the band's history from its origins to the present, showing the evolution from a traditional marching band to today’s irreverent scrambling ensemble.

The Daily Princetonian urged “any man who can play any band instrument” to join the new ensemble; these 18 students answered the call.

There I am in #8! Second from the right (in front of Drum Major Terry Thiele '76) with a Hahvahd pennant mounted on my trumpet. I did that for each school that year.
