He prepared for Princeton at Mount Lebanon (Pa.) High School and came to Princeton as a member of the V-12 program after more than three years of service in the Pacific theater as a radar technician. Bill majored in economics and was a member of Dial Lodge.

Bill’s work career was with Alcoa in finance, sales, and personnel. This included an eight-year period when he was involved in the development and operation of bauxite-mining complexes in West Africa. After retirement he continued as a consultant in West Africa. Upon his return to the United States he initially split his time between Wexford, Pa., and Fort Myers, Fla. In later years more time was spent in Fort Myers, where he was active in the Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church.

Bill is survived by his wife, Genevieve; twin sons William and Robert; and two grandchildren. The class extends its sincere sympathy to them on their loss.
