He served as an Army officer in World War II; during part of his service he was stationed in the South Pacific with the 162nd Infantry. After discharge and graduation from the Lawrenceville School, he came to Princeton, where he was a member of Tiger Inn and roomed with George Kuser and John Osterstock ’48.  

Ted and Mary Elizabeth (“Biz”) Hall were married June 14, 1952. Ted worked for L. Bamberger and then for Ciba Chemical & Dye, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. He later joined Binney & Smith as vice president of corporate development. Before retirement he served as vice president of programs for Innotech, a think tank in Trumbull, Conn. He and his family spent summers on Chebeague Island, Maine, where he loved to sail.  

Ted died July 23, 2008. He is survived by Biz; their children Geoffrey, Dorian (Mrs. Thomas) Winslow, and Jonathan; and four granddaughters, Caitlyn, Celine, Julia, and Mallory Rogers. Ted was buried with military honors in Sharon, Conn.; a memorial service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lakeville, Conn.
