The Policy Research Institute for the Region (PRIOR), an arm of the Woodrow Wilson School that focuses on policy issues affecting New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, will close at the end of the academic year, a victim of the University’s budget-cutting. The institute’s two full-time and one part-time positions will be eliminated. PRIOR director Richard Keevey said the decision to shut down the institute was “ill-advised,” adding that the program offers invaluable opportunities for graduate students to interact with government and nonprofit leaders.
