Robert A. Fagan ’57

Bob died July 7, 2009, in New York City. He was 74. He was a writer and poet. Literature and art history were the chief foci of this highly educated and brilliant individual. Bob did not keep in touch with Princeton.

He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in English literature. His published works included books on fiction and poetry. Stepping Out, among his other work, was recognized for its poetry.

As a guest, he was a supreme conversationalist known for his intelligence and encyclopedic wit.

Bob is survived by his wife, Lenore; stepson Don; and step-grandchildren. The class extends sympathy to his friends and family.
