(University of Minnesota Press) This book is the history of the musical collaboration between Adam Gussow, a young graduate school dropout and harmonica player, and Sterling “Mr. Satan” Magee, a guitarist and underground blues legend. Gussow, who continues to tour with Magee today, is an associate professor of English and Southern studies at the University of Mississippi.
