Steve Bray died Oct. 12, 2005, at Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital as a result of complications due to a fall from a roof at his home.
Steve was born in Chicago, the son of Allen R. Bray ’19 and brother of the late George P. Bray ’49 and the late A. Richard Bray ’50. At Princeton, he majored in history, was a member of Cap and Gown Club, and sang in the Glee Club.
After two years in the Army and earning an M.B.A. from Stanford, Steve spent 15 years with Warner Lambert. He then joined friends in buying struggling companies and turning them around.
Steve ended up as owner of the Bray Chocolate Co., a manufacturer of chocolate lace candy — a unique product that originated in Czarist Russia and was sold in gourmet stores and specialty shops throughout the United States.
Steve is survived by Constance Irwin Bray, his wife of 29 years, and many nieces and nephews. The class extends them its deepest sympathy.
