Mac died Nov. 25, 2009, at his home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

He was born in Baltimore and graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Ill. At Princeton he was an economics major and was an active member of Cannon Club, where he was secretary-treasurer. Mac was also on the freshman and varsity fencing teams and served on the executive committee of the Campus Fund Drive for two years. Among his roommates were Doug Weil, Don Sessions, and Chris Clutz.

After graduation, Mac spent 24 years with the real-estate department of Walgreen Co. and, quoting his entry in our 10th-reunion yearbook, tried “to make sure that everyone has a Walgreen Drug Store conveniently at hand.” He later worked for SuperX Drugs as real-estate manager for 12 years and for The Kroger Co. for two years before he retired in 1997.

To Karen, Mac’s wife of 31 years; his daughters, Sarah McKinnon and Justine Smith; and his granddaughter, Jordan McKinnon, the class extends its sympathy.
