Jack Huiskamp died Aug. 10, 2010, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Jack, an Iowan, was a member of Cap and Gown and captained the undefeated 1961 golf team at Princeton. He earned a law degree from Duke University, practicing primarily in California.
Jack’s classmates at Princeton will remember his eclectic talents — sports, graphology, pool, and bridge. Golf was a true passion. He played to scratch or better for his entire adult life. In his last days, while struggling with physical afflictions, he still could shoot par. He had his seventh hole-in-one not long before he died.

Jack will be remembered for his keen intellect, sense of humor, and infectious laugh. His most enduring passion and legacy are reflected in his family. He leaves behind his mother, Nadine; daughters Diane Lefebvre and her husband, Phil, and Jennifer Sivertson and her husband, Neil; six grandchildren; a brother and sister; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul, and his sister, Joanne.
Charles Reeder ’60 wrote: “Jack made you feel stronger and clearer in perspective, with a greater sense of humor and joy in what you were about. These are qualities only transmitted by great people. He will never be forgotten by those who had the honor of knowing him.”
