Addie Micir ’11, left, scored her 1,000th career point for WOMEN’S ­BASKETBALL in a 94–51 blowout of La Salle Jan. 4. Princeton entered the January exam break with a 12–3 record and four-game winning streak that included three games played without star forward Niveen Rasheed ’13. Rasheed, who tore a ligament in her right knee in Princeton’s Dec. 29 win at Davidson, will miss the remainder of the season.

MEN’S BASKETBALL posted its best nonconference start since 1997–98, improving to 11–4 with a 68–57 win over Marist Jan. 5. Five Tigers scored in double figures in the game, and four — Ian Hummer ’13, Dan Mavraides ’11, Douglas Davis ’12, and Kareem Maddox ’11 — have averaged 12 or more points per game this season.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY won seven consecutive games from Dec. 4 through Jan. 8, including five shutouts, to improve to 10–10–1 overall. Junior goalie Rachel Weber was named the ECAC Goalie of the Week for three straight weeks.  

WRESTLING standouts Garrett Frey ’13 and Daniel Kolodzik ’12 earned eighth-place finishes in their weight classes Dec. 30 at the Southern Scuffle, a 30-team tournament hosted by the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
