Dave Clark died Nov. 6, 2010, in Yarmouth, Maine.

Dave graduated from The Gunnery in 1938 and matriculated at Princeton, which at least three members of his family had attended. At college he majored in music and was a member of the choir and Terrace Club.

During World War II, Dave served as a first lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engin-
eers, with duty in the Philippines. After his discharge, Dave married Julia Holland, whom he had met while stationed in St. Louis, and went to work for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. In 1967 he and his family moved to Maine, where he continued working in financial services until his retirement.

Dave loved climbing mountains in the Adirondacks and New Hampshire. He served on the boards of numerous not-for-profit organizations in the Yarmouth area and, in 1997, he received the Yarmouth Latchstring Award in recognition of his service to the community.

Dave is survived by his wife, Julia; daughters Sally Hassey and Nancy Brewer; sons David and Peter; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. His son, Robert, predeceased him.
