Editor’s note: The following Wawa tributes were received in response to Ellie Kemper ’02’s “Ode to Wawa” in the Jan. 19 issue.

Beacon in the night.

Brimming shelves of Entenmann’s.

See? Forbes is well-placed.

Oh Wawa, how I miss thee so! Spread your wings and fly, fly to the West Coast! Bring your shorti rolls and your stuffed pretzels and your macaroni and cheese and we’ll hang out just like old times. Oh, and don’t forget to bring me a copy of The Trentonian!

As a Tiger who paw-ed the campus prehistorically

I Wawa-want to reflect metaphorically:

In olden days, like Kemper ’02, Ms. Ellie

I yearned for treats to fill my belly.

In Wawa-less days — save meals Chez Commons’

Slim pickins: Renwick’s or noodles by ramens

Though war, pestilence, and famine

Cause collective bad temper

The future is Wawa-wonderful

So kudos to Kemper!

I thought PAW would appreciate this photo of our daughter Rory enjoying the “Ode to Wawa” article written by her “Aunt” Ellie Kemper. She loved tearing up the envelope that came with it.
