Dave died peacefully Jan. 7, 2011, at home after a long battle with colon cancer.  

He joined us by way of Deerfield. Dave graduated from Princeton in June 1949 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with honors. He was president of the Tigertones and Colonial Club.

Dave received an M.B.A. from Harvard in 1951 and in 1952 joined Cincinnati Milacron, where he stayed for nearly 25 years. In 1977 he became a consultant in strategic long-range planning to intermediate-sized companies and was senior vice president with a regional stockbroker, Gradison Division, McDonald & Co.

Dave had a long and deep interest in civic affairs. He was active with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Cincinnati Bar Association Judicial Rating Committee, WCET-48, the Cincinnatus Association, and the Cincinnati Summer Opera. He was president of the board of trustees of the Seasongood Foundation from 1993 to 1995. He was one of the organizers of the Cincinnatians for Charter Reform ’96, an initiative petition for directly electing a mayor.

Dave is survived by his wife, Nancy; and his six children from three previous marriages, Peter, Sue, Bob, Dorothy, Jim, and Evelyn.
