Norm graduated in ’46 and began a dual career: 38 years of research with Celanese Co. (and, as he wrote in our 50th yearbook, some "useless" patents); and 20 years of teaching music — including a few accomplished students.

He married Ruby in 1970. She brought her five children into the marriage and Norm added a 25th-reunion baby in 1972.

In retirement they moved to Lincolnville, Maine, where Norm collected fish, stamps, and CDs; sponsored Navajo and Zuni children; and sang vigorously in a church choir.

He died Nov. 18, 2010. We send best wishes to Ruby and the children.
