Ed died April 7, 2010 of Parkinson’s disease after a long struggle. He was 74 and a resident of Pinehurst, N.C., at the time.  

After graduating from Blair Academy he came to Princeton and majored in religion. His eating club was Prospect and as an undergraduate he participated in swimming and horseshoes. Ed roomed with Charlie Fuqua his senior year.  

After Princeton, Ed served with the Counter Intelligence Corps. Subsequently, he worked with Prudential Financial Asset Management Co. for many years. His later years were afflicted with various illnesses. Nevertheless, he often said his life had been satisfying and enjoyable. He loved gardening and was known to opine that plants were preferable to people upon occasion.  

Ed leaves his wife, Arlene; daughter Karen; and granddaughters Emily and Katelyn. The class will miss this kind man.
