Charlotte Davis ’13, left, scored three goals, including the game-winner, as WOMEN’S LACROSSE came from behind to beat Harvard, 12–10, in the Ivy League Tournament final May 8. The victory earned Princeton an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships and capped an extraordinary weekend that began with an upset win against host Penn May 6. Princeton topped the Ivy co-champion Quakers twice in three weeks, leading Tiger head coach Chris Sailer to quip that Franklin Field was fast becoming her team’s “new favorite field.”

MEN’S and WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD swept the Ivy Outdoor Heptagonal Championships in New Haven May 7–8, making Princeton the first Ivy school to complete the “double-triple” in one year: men’s and women’s team titles in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. Donn Cabral ’12 was a co-winner of the Most Outstanding Performer award in the men’s meet, finishing first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 10,000-meter run. For the women, top performers included event champions Ashley Higginson ’11 (3,000-meter steeplechase), Eileen Moran ’12 (100-meter dash), and Tory Worthen ’13 (pole vault).

At the Penn Relays April 30, Princeton’s team of Chris Bendtsen ’14, Cabral, Kyle Soloff ’11, and Mark Amirault ’11 outran 11 of the nation’s leading teams to win the Championship of America 4-mile relay. It was the first Tiger foursome to capture a title in the meet’s top flight since 1940.

MEN’S GOLF placed fifth in the Ivy Championships at Galloway National Golf Club in Northfield, N.J., April 22–24. Eric Salazar ’11 was the top Tiger finisher, placing 14th among individuals.
