Jack died March 23, 2011, at his home in Fayetteville, N.Y.

Jack was born in Orange, N.J., and attended East Orange High School before coming to Princeton. At Princeton, he majored in economics and was on the honor roll. He won letters for varsity football and was a member of Cannon Club.

After Princeton, Jack graduated from Harvard Law School and began his law career in Syracuse, N.Y., with Mackenzie, Smith & Michell. Later he spent three years in the Navy Reserve and became a lieutenant.

According to our 50th yearbook, Jack became a partner in Mackenzie, Smith, Lewis, Michell & Hughes. He was in charge of the trusts and estates department, administering estate planning. He also was very interested in the health field.

Jack was appointed our class agent and later became our vice president. He belonged to the Princeton Alumni Association of Central New York and the Onondaga Bar Association. His hobbies were football and golf.

He was married to Carol Connor and they had one son, one daughter, and three grandsons.

We shall miss Jack. He was a loyal Princetonian, hardly ever missing a reunion. To his family and friends, we extend our sincere sympathy with very fond remembrances.
