Bob Beeler died suddenly from a heart attack Oct. 22, 2010. He was 61.
Bob was born Dec. 21, 1948, and attended Hamilton Taft High School in Hamilton, Ohio, where he was an all-league football player. At Princeton, Bob roomed freshman year with two high-school classmates, Jack Garretson and Clinton Kemp. That group of roommates expanded in the remaining three years to include Kevin Warner, Tom Maier, G. Daryl Smith, Phil Hamilton, and Doug Blair. Bob was a member of Quadrangle Club.
After graduation, Bob worked in insurance and then went to law school, graduating from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, in 1984. He joined his father-in-law, forming the Cassel & Beeler Law Office in Carey, Ohio, and practiced there for many years; he once described it as a “small county law practice.”
Bob and his wife, Charlene, raised their family in nearby Upper Sandusky. He was very active in his church and community, and remained an avid athlete his entire life. Bob’s wonderful personality won over many friends through the years.
Bob is survived by Charlene; two children, Steve and Angela; and his siblings, Marion Stricker and Henry Beeler. To them, the class sends its deepest sympathy.
