Donald Noonan died May 24, 2011, near his home in Williamsburg, Va., and was buried with a military service at Quantico National Cemetery. He was 81.

Don was born in Newark, N.J., and attended Bloomfield High School. He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve and served in Korea, where he was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received at Chosin Reservoir. After his service, he enrolled at Princeton, where he was in the Woodrow Wilson School and was a member of Tiger Inn.

After a career in business and finance in the United States and Europe, Don retired from Chase Manhattan Bank in 1992 as a group vice president. He served as a member of the International Executive Service Corps, consulting in Russia and for the Chinese Banking Association.

Don was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Church and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was an avid reader and loved politics, current affairs, and sports.

He is survived by his wife, Christine; his children, Lisa Noonan, Michael Noonan, and Mark and Sasha Noonan; and his beloved grandchildren, Kyra Grace, Helena Ann, David McCord, and Madeline Riley Noonan. The class extends condolences to them.
