Ted died Aug. 7, 2011, in Cranbury, N.J.
At Princeton he roomed with Hal Mathisen and then Paul Windels. He majored in English and graduated in November 1943.
An Army lieutenant in the Pacific, he spent 43 months in the service. He took special pride in having participated in Philip pine Independence Day in Leyte, July 4, 1946.
Ted married Beverly Grant in 1950, and they had two daughters. Beverly died in 1975.
He started his career with the Wool Bureau, became director of information, joined American Cyanamid for seven years, and returned to the Wool Bureau as marketing director. He retired as administrative director of the National Association of Customer Accounting. During his career he lived in Eastchester and Scarsdale, N.Y., and New Canaan, Conn.
He married Ann Bussell in 1981, and they lived in Princeton Junction during the last four years of his life. His hobbies were current events, nonfiction books, and history. A regular at Princeton major reunions, he was class secretary for two years after our 65th.
He is survived by Ann; daughters Susan Elliott and Laurie Paschall; two stepsons; six grandchildren; and his closest friend for 80 years, Gil Erskine.
