A long-lashed Princeton Tigress gave Fred Fox ’39, former recording secretary of the University, something to ponder at the start of a football game in Palmer Stadium. Malcolm Ryder ’76 took the photo, which was supplied by Pamela Wesson ’76. Ryder has no other information about what he calls an “iconic encounter,” but Wesson dates the photo to 1974. Fox may be best remembered as the first Keeper of Princetoniana, a role he assumed in 1976 and in which he lectured students and staff about the University’s legends, myths, colors, artifacts, traditions, and people. Fox died in 1981.
