Ferdinand Huber, known to us as “Mike,” died Nov. 5, 2011, in Bradenton, Fla.

Mike was born March 10, 1925, in El Salvador, where his father was in business. He came to Princeton from Scarsdale and Harrison high schools, majored in mechanical engineering, and joined Campus Club. He served in the Army Medical Corps in the European theater from September 1943 to July 1945.

Professionally, he became an expert on heat transfer and fluid flow. He published several papers on these subjects and was awarded a number of patents.

He was a patient and loving caretaker for his late wife, Helen, for many years.

At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, Peggy; children Frederick V. III (also known as Mike), David Huber, and Nancy Huber Palecek; and several grandchildren. The class extends its sympathy to them all.
