Donald C. Grant ’40

Published in May 11, 1994, issue

THANKS TO THE RESEARCH of Lee Gould'38 and our classmate John Brooks, a memorial can be prepared on behalf of Don Grant, who died in July 1984.

Don was from Rochester, N.Y., and entered Princeton from Choate School, where he was an athletic leader, managing editor of the school paper, class president, and holder of the Mark Pitman Scholarship. Unfortunately, Don's activities as a Princeton undergraduate are undocumented, and we believe he did not graduate with the Class of 1940. In fact, there is no record whatsoever of Don's ever submitting a report for our class publications save for basic data in the FRESHMAN HERALD. Don served as an officer in the air corps in WWII. In 1948, he married Regins Esther and they had three children. He worked for the McMillan Book Co. in the 1950s and in 1965 was associated with Marketraction, Inc.

We regret the death of our classmate and extend our sympathy to his family.
