JIM COREY, a former California state senator, appellate court judge, and law professor before his retirement in 1990, died Dec. 27, 1993. He had a stroke a year earlier in N.Y.C., while he and his wife, Jinny, were visiting their daughter Lisa and her family.

In 1982, he won the distinguished alumnus award from his old school, Mercersburg. He was named in WHO'S WHO IN AMERICAN LAW, WHO'S WHO IN THE WEST, and WHO'S WHO IN THE WORLD. From 198090 he taught at the Southwestern Univ. School of Law, in L.A.

Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia (Branum); two daughters, Hope and Lisa; a son, Christopher E.; and four grandchildren. To them we offer our sincere sympathies. A brother, William E. '29, died in 1965.
