Cline Black was an outstanding scientist, yet a humble sincere man. He made important contributions to the Manhattan Project that ensured its success in developing atomic energy. He is noted for his love of family and for his devotion to his faith. He was first and foremost a scholar and one who shared his ideas. He would never hesitate to aid a colleague or befriend a stranger.
