Dear Sir:

THE May 5 issue of PAW (Princeton & Chemistry) made excellent reading, marred only by Page 14—On The Campus: “Ladies ‘ti! ‘Leven,” by Rhys Evans ’62—editorial comment notwithstanding.

Our angry young man Evans apparently doesn’t know how to count his blessings. In the olden days, as it were, a 6 p.m. curfew was in force-every night. The latest modification means, in effect, that during a college year approximately 332,775 additional hours can be spent by more young women in more dormitories (new and old), assuming that one quarter of the student body did it, and had them. This raises graduate eyebrows.

Young women remain unchanged, now as compared with then; therefore, the hours must be altered. Very likely the Trustees of Princeton have a great deal more knowledge in this bailiwick than have Evans and his group.

The limitations imposed must be reasonable; otherwise, an additional 101,500 hours could be devoted to this sort of thing, and that would cause a stir.
