Oh, those legs!

Relive memorable Triangle shows with a slide show of kicklines from the past.

Posted on December 17, 2008

“What these players lack in technique, they make up for by their superior intelligence and manifest glee in acting,” Professor Stockton Axson wrote in a Daily Princetonian review of the 1905-06 Triangle show. And no part of each year’s production displayed that “manifest glee” more than the all-male kickline, a Triangle tradition. This slide show offers some highlights from Triangle’s 118-year history.

Magnifico! With us since 1975, yet no counterpoint from the female students? (Women as men with the Triangle upside down.)

Great memories. I was in the 1957 show, After a Fashion. Any way to get Donald Marsden's book, The Long Kickline? Would love to get a copy.

I am recalling a fabulous Miss America contest -- awesome costumes -- that went into a kickline. Maybe 1987?I would love to see a photo of that one. Those guys worked really hard on those dance moves.

You can receive a copy of "The Long Kickline" from the current undergrad officers (visit for their contact info). I'm proud to be in 3 of those photos : )
