Tracy will be remembered as a caring, kind, and thoughtful daughter, sister, wife, friend, and mother. Raised in Vermont and Long Island, Tracy counted many academic achievements but was especially proud of being the only girl to play boys’ varsity ice hockey at Northport (N.Y.) High School, from which she graduated in 1986.

Tracy played women’s varsity ice hockey freshman year. She sang with Freshman Singers and The Roaring Twenty and was communications director for USG from 1989 to 1990. Tracy joined Tower Club, where she made many lifelong friends. She met her soulmate and future husband, Ted O’Neal ’89, at a Tiger Inn party following the Yale game in 1987. She graduated cum laude and received the English department’s Class of 1859 Prize.

Tracy received an M.B.A. from the University of Washington in 1996. She joined Microsoft Corp. in 1999. She managed a worldwide program for Microsoft’s partners and was promoted to director in July 2008. Even with the satisfaction that Tracy found in her career, nothing could compare to her role as mom to Sean Baker O’Neal, born July 11, 2002.

Tracy is survived by Ted and Sean; her father, Robert; six brothers and sisters; and 13 nieces and nephews.
