Harry was born in Indiana and attended the Kiskiminetas Springs School in Saltsburg, Pa. He majored in biology at Princeton, graduating with high honors and election to Sigma Xi. He was active in the band and a member of Dial Lodge. He graduated from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1942.

Harry served for three years as a captain in the Army Medical Corps during World War II. He then joined his father’s medical practice in Indiana. He served as chief of staff of Indiana Medical Center and president of Indiana County Medical Society. He retired in 1989.

Harry is remembered for his medical skills, his compassion, a gentle sense of humor, and his generosity. He has no immediate family, but is survived by numerous cousins. Those who knew Harry will have a sense of loss, but at the same time will be grateful for having shared his friendship and his life.
