Ken was class treasurer from 1968 to 1973 and class president from 1973 to 1978, and despite injuries and near-paralysis, he managed to attend nearly every recent reunion. He was a native of Stewartsville, N.J., and lived in Mountainside for the last 32 years.

Ken prepped at Blair Academy, where he was a debater and sports manager. At Princeton he was on wrestling teams all four years, was manager of the Student Lunch-Cream Agency, and joined Dial Lodge. He graduated with honors in economics. He was a Navy lieutenant on a minesweeper during World War II.

Ken joined New Jersey Bell Telephone in 1946 and became vice president and general manager in 1966 in the Newark metropolitan area. He retired from AT&T in 1986 and was a financial consultant until his last years.

He is survived by two sons, Bruce and John Jr., from his first wife, the former Olive May Lamb, whom he married in 1945 and from whom he was divorced; and four grandchildren. His marriage to Patricia Opatsky in 1979 also ended in divorce.
