Paul Fenton died Sept. 28, 2008.

Paul entered Princeton from the Hun School, following in the footsteps of his father, Paul Sr. ’20, and his grandfather, John 1888. He joined Quadrangle Club just before leaving Princeton for service in the Marine Corps and never returned. After serving on active duty until 1946, he enrolled in McGill University in Montreal and received a bachelor’s degree in 1948. He then attended graduate school at Yale and earned a master’s degree in business management in 1954.

His loyalty to Princeton was shown through his marriage to Mary Ann De Andrea in Princeton Chapel.

Paul’s career was split between teaching economics at Montana State University and mathematics at St. Paul’s School, after which he formed his own investment-management company in Boston. He returned to teaching in 1974 as head of the business faculty of Bishop’s University in Canada.

Paul and Mary Ann maintained their contacts with the United States by owning a summer residence in Islesboro, Maine. Paul was predeceased by Mary Ann but is survived by their five children, Paul, Peter, Mark, Priscilla Lowell, and Elizabeth Lochner; and five grandchildren. The class expresses its sympathy to the family.
