Tom died Aug. 8, 2009.

At Princeton and beyond he devoted himself to musical entertainment. He worked for a time with NBC in New York City and later spent time at the Institute of Musical Art in New York.

After his military service, during which time he played the clarinet in the 110th Infantry Band, Tom became a vocalist with various dance bands, including Guy Lombardo’s and Bob Strong’s, and also worked with several radio shows. For a while he was emcee for the ice show at the Hotel Biltmore. He also sang with a quintet for which his former wife, Peggy Marshall, was the arranger.

Returning to New Jersey, Tom went into the business of residential real estate, principally in Ridgewood, N.J. He later was married to Jacquelin Goelitz.

In remembrance of Tom, we send our sincere sympathy to his family and friends.
