Wesley Bahr died Jan. 4, 2010, in Brick, N.J.
Wes graduated from Far Rockaway (N.Y.) High School. At Princeton he majored in politics, was on the rugby team junior and senior years and the cross-country team freshman year, and played intramural basketball. Freshman and sophomore years, he roomed with Raymond Howe, and junior and senior years with Boice Esser.
During World War II, Wes was an Army captain serving in a field artillery and air-observation unit in France and Germany.
After the war, Wes engaged in banking. He became president and chairman of the board of First Federal Savings & Loan Association of New York. Wes also served as a director of Collective Federal Savings Bank.
His wife, Vera Bahr, predeceased him. He is survived by a daughter, Judy Kopka; a son, Wesley Craig Bahr; a sister, Ruth Beach; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to all of whom the class extends its sincere sympathy.
