Ed Locke, a native of Bayonne, N.J., and graduate of its high school, had a life of music. He majored in music at Princeton, where he played in the band and orchestra and sang in the Glee Club. He was a member of Cloister Inn. He died Oct. 1, 2010.

Ed’s professional life was in the broadcasting field. He was a radio and television announcer and made freelance radio and TV commercials. In addition he sang with local groups and wrote music. In 1968 he opened the Locke Vocal Studio, which he operated until his retirement in 1984.

Ed is survived by his widow, Joyce; four children; and four grandchildren.
