On Reunions weekend, I traveled from my home in California to my college in New Jersey. I have been a “bad grad,” having been to only two reunions before this, my 50th.

I was concerned because I felt that I would not remember many of my classmates, other than my roomies and my teammates. All of that concern disappeared when I “walked the walk” in the P-rade. I have never been part of a more exhilarating occasion than being part of that expression of love and happiness among the reunion grads, current students, and soon-to-be graduates. Nothing was made up; everything was exposed with the cheers, the high-fives, the embraces, the offering of drinks, and the expressions of love and admiration from and to everyone.

At the end of the walk, I circled back to watch from the sidelines with tears in my eyes and pride in my heart for the “only-at-Princeton” moments.

Old Nassau was in full bloom, shining on everyone.

Thank you, Princeton.
