Paul Losi died Feb. 1, 2011, in Naples, Fla.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., he graduated from Dickinson High School. He majored in architecture at Princeton and was active in many varsity sports. He studied architecture at Princeton’s Graduate School and later earned a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture and was awarded a traveling fellowship to study at the University of Rome.
During his career, Paul’s creativity earned him many honors and awards. His first-prize design in the International Design Competition sponsored by the Morton Arboretum in Illinois was featured in Better Homes and Gardens in July 1962. He also received an honor award for his design of the Reade residence on West Point Island, N.J.
He established Paul Losi Architects in Toms River, N.J., and also found time to become an outstanding golfer and club champion eight times at the Toms River Country Club. The club building was one of his highly awarded designs.
The class sends condolences to his wife, Faye; daughter Cara; and three grandsons.
