Frank died peacefully Jan. 4, 2011, at home.

He was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Princeton, N.J., and attended local schools before entering Princeton University in summer 1942. He left the University and enlisted in the Marine Corps to serve in the Pacific Islands and China. After his discharge in 1946, Frank attended Georgetown University, where he enjoyed participating in musical reviews and graduated in 1952.

Frank married Gale Felicity Dinsmore-Minton in 1949. He taught at Pepke Broadcast School in New York and then set up a bakery business before joining the New Jersey Department of Corrections, where he worked as a trainer for 25 years. A gregarious jazz guitar enthusiast, he was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Hopewell, N.J.

A son of Frank L. Critchlow 1896, he is survived by Gale and their children, Claire, Louise, Carol, and Francis; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Therese; and his son-in-law, Michael Aucott. To them all, the class extends deep sympathy.
