Perry died of leukemia July 30, 2011, in the company of his loving wife, Jeanne, and his children.

Born in Short Hills, N.J., Perry graduated from Phillips Academy Andover. At Princeton, he played hockey, 150-pound football, and lacrosse. He majored in economics and was a member of Ivy Club.   After Army service in El Paso and five months working on a ranch in Colorado, Perry worked for more than 17 years as an executive with Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. of New York. In 1981, he moved to Morgan Stanley and San Francisco, where he managed the sales activities of the West Coast office. Retiring in 2000 in New York, he maintained a gentleman’s farm in Far Hills, N.J., with chickens, two sheep, two donkeys, and a miniature Hereford heifer. Perry enjoyed summers on Long Beach Island, N.J., and winters in Dorset, Vt.   Perry is survived by Jeanne; son Perry and his wife, Lynn; son Brooks and his wife, Sally ; son Ben and his wife, Laura; stepdaughter Sandra Cane and her husband, Michael; stepdaughter Gennifer Puppe and her husband, Kevin; 11 grandchildren; siblings Seymour, James, and Holly; his first wife, Virginia Birch; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Hunter. The class extends sincere condolences to Perry’s family.
