Howie Robinson died Dec. 9, 2011, in Grosse Pointe, Mich.
He prepared for Princeton at Cranbrook School, where he was on the soccer and hockey teams and was secretary of his class. At Princeton, he majored in chemical engineering and graduated with honors. Howie was the sports editor of the Bric-a-Brac, on the board of the Nassau Herald, and was a member of Triangle Club.
Howie worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. and Rinshed-Mason Paint Co. until 1969, when he left to become vice president of manufacturing for Flint Ink Corp. He was responsible for the company’s nationwide operations and labor relations. He also served as president of the Princeton Club of Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; four children; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. To them, the class extends its deepest sympathy.
