Bill died Aug. 20, 2014, in Arlington, Texas.

He came to Princeton from the Gilman School. Bill left Princeton and later graduated from the University of Colorado in 1951 with a degree in mechanical engineering. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Force.

As noted in our 50th reunion yearbook, Bill worked for Philco, Zenith, RCA, and Boeing. In 1969 he moved to Arlington and worked for what is now Vought Aircraft.

Although not a graduate with our class, he maintained a loyalty toward Princeton and attended several reunions.

Bill’s survivors include his wife of 64 years, Edith; brother John ’45; daughters Vicki Lee Turney and Katherine Anne Lewis; sons William John Chapman III and Robert Tower Chapman; and five grandchildren.
