Walter died peacefully Sept. 3, 2015.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., he graduated from Henry Snyder High School. At Princeton, Walter worked on the business staff of the Nassau Lit, majored in biology, and ate at Prospect Club.

After graduation, he earned a degree at the NYU School of Medicine. Walter completed an internship at Philadelphia General Hospital followed by a four-year residency in obstetrics/gynecology at Bellevue Hospital. After 38 years in practice and the delivery of 5,000 babies in Parsippany, N.J., he retired in 2001.

During his professional career, Walter served as chairman and president of the medical staff of Morristown Memorial Hospital. He subsequently served as president of four hospitals comprising Atlantic Health Systems.

The class extends condolences to his wife, Suzanne; their children, Karen, Dana, and Glenn ’85; his sister, Elaine; and five grandchildren, including Bryan ’15.
