2017 rankings roundup
For the seventh year in a row, Princeton was ranked No. 1 among national universities in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges rankings, which were released today. Princeton was also ranked No. 1 for Best Undergraduate Teaching and for Best Value Schools by U.S. News.
Following is a list of the University’s position in other 2017 rankings:
- Kiplinger’s Personal Finance: No. 1 in Best College Values for private universities
- Money: No. 1 for Best Value for Your Tuition Dollar
- Princeton Review: No. 1 for Colleges That Pay You Back; No. 3 for best financial aid; No. 6 for best career placement
- Payscale.com: No. 2 in Best Universities and Colleges by Salary Potential (average early-career salary: $69,800; mid-career, $147,800)
- College Factual: No. 3 for Best Colleges for 2018
- Forbes: No. 4 in America’s Top Colleges; No. 2 for Grateful Grads (the median of private donations per student over a 10-year period: $29,330); No. 8 for Best U.S. Colleges for International Students; No. 3 for America’s Best Value Colleges
- Academic Ranking of World Universities: No. 6
- Times Higher Education World University Reputation Rankings: No. 7
- Washington Monthly: No. 11 (rated on social mobility, research, and service)
- Parchment: No. 12 (based on choices of students admitted to multiple colleges)
- QS World University Rankings: No. 13
- N.Y. Times College Access Index: No. 13 (rates economic-diversity efforts)
- Campus Pride: Top 25 among LGBTQ-friendly colleges and universities
- Sierra Club Magazine: No. 106 for Cool Schools (rates universities’ sustainability efforts)
