In Response to: Lesley’s Story
McAllister is one of the most talented professors of law anywhere. I was part of her law faculty tenure committee at the University of San Diego and was pleased to review her classes live, from which I learned enough to improve my own teaching — including her clever use of power point illustrations. She is also an environmental expert and pioneer, and had a major role in the development of the Energy Policy Initiatives Center (EPIC) here at the law school and in the initiation of the nation’s first law review on Global Warming. If she leaves us, it will be a blow to our profession, but she will leave an admirable legacy. I feel privileged to have known someone of this intellectual and personal merit.
